Forma-I Left Side Angle

Understanding Dry Eye

Tired of that gritty, itchy feeling in your eyes? Dealing with redness, blurred vision, or light sensitivity? If so, you may have dry eye, a common condition caused by various factors, including medical conditions, hormonal changes, certain medications, and even long hours spent looking at screens.

Dry eye can happen when your eyes don’t produce enough tears or when the tears you have evaporate too quickly. Surprisingly, watery eyes can also be a sign of dry eye; this occurs when your eyes try to overcompensate for a lack of quality tears. It’s estimated that 1 in 4 people suffer from dry eye, and while it’s more common with age, more young people are experiencing it due to increased screen time.

Introducing Envision Dry Eye Treatment

Forma-I Left Side Angle We’re excited to offer Envision, a dual dry eye therapy that goes beyond just treating the symptoms to address the root causes of the condition. This treatment combines two powerful therapies for maximum effectiveness:

  • Forma-I Radiofrequency (RF): This therapy gently warms the eyelids to unblock the meibomian glands, which are a common cause of dry eye. By improving the quality of your tears and reducing inflammation, it provides long-lasting relief. As a bonus, it can also boost collagen to tighten the skin around your eyes.
  • Lumecca-I Intense Pulse Light (IPL): Using gentle light therapy, Lumecca-I targets inflammation around the eyes, helping to reduce redness and discomfort.

This safe, painless, and non-invasive dual therapy is suitable for all skin types and tones. A full treatment for both eyes takes approximately 30-40 minutes, and most patients typically need 3 to 4 sessions.

What Can You Do to Find Relief?

While Envision offers a long-lasting solution, there are simple steps you can take to help relieve symptoms:

  • Drink more water.
  • Take regular breaks from screens.
  • Eat a well-balanced diet rich in Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids.
  • Use eye drops.
