We are your local, independent Optician and our aim is to provide you with clinical excellence and great customer service. At Orpington Eyecare Centre we treat you as an individual and tailor our services to your needs. We use state of the art equipment along with the latest techniques to examine your eyes.
Formerly Wilkinson’s Opticians, the practice has been established since the 1970s, with the new owners Nishit Patel and wife Jinal Patel taking over in 2017. With new leadership and guidance, it is Nishit and Jinal’s goal to build an Opticians with clinical excellence and unparalleled customer service.
Nishit Patel finished his training at Aston University in 2002 and since then has embarked on a journey to further his knowledge in the field of Optometry. Nishit still works at Epsom and St Helier Hospital one day a week in Eye casualty and Medical retina. He is a qualified diabetic screener and an Independent prescriber, the only one in the area! Nishit can now prescribe for most eye emergencies. He also specialises in Glaucoma having just completed his Professional certificate in Glaucoma, Paediatrics, dry eyes and contact lenses. Nishit is an avid football supporter (ask him who he supports when you are next in) and according to him a good golfer.
Jinal Patel graduated from De Montfort University with a degree in Business and Marketing (Major). In both her previous roles at The National Blood service and Reed Marketing Jinal was the Marketing Manager of her team. In this time she qualified with a Management Leadership qualification and passed the Project Manager exams. She joined Nishit in their Domiciliary company in 2009. Jinal A.K.A Supremum, is a dedicated mother of two, Practice manager for both businesses. Her eye for detail and customer services is second to none.
