I have been seeing Mr. Patel for a number of years now and I can say I wouldn’t see another optometrist. His expertise and bed side manner is amazing! Him and his team has always been very helpful through the years. Thank you very much

I had been having trouble getting an appointment through the hospital for my eye problems. I visited the Orpington Eyecare Centre and received a hospital appointment the next day. They were extremely helpful.

On my visit to this opticians I felt very confident with treatment and advice given, would recommend this optician and will be going back when my next eye test is due

Updated review. 28th January 2026. Today was my two year check up. As always the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Dr Patel was excellent with the eye test and explaining everything. Once again excellent service 7th May. It was just a small issue with my glasses, but as always were well treated and looked after my staff. Can never fault the service or the politeness of the staff Dr Patel and his staff are brilliant. They handled my cancelled booking with care. Thank you Mary The eye test is throughly done by Dr Patel. Have I been attending for a few years now. I like that I can see my previous visits results and compare with this latest eye tests. I like that you get a text reminder the day before your appointment. Would fully recommend for eye tests

Amazing experience. I saw 2 opticians before moving to Orpington and attending Orpington Eyecare center. The other opticians gave me drops to treat my symptoms, without much success. Orpington Eyecare did a thorough examination and gave me treatment for the SOURCE of my problem. Within 3 days I was feeling better than I had in months. Also a very fast service. I was able to get an appointment the day I called and was seen within 5 minutes of arriving.

I woke up yesterday morning with a vision problem that I suspected might be a detached retina. I called the Orpington Eye Centre and got an appointment same day. Mr Patel examined me and confirmed my worst fears. He immediately called the hospital and I was seen at Kings College first thing this morning. I’m booked in for surgery on Friday. I want to thank Mr Patel for his diagnosis and for seeing me and referring me so quickly. Your eyesight is so important, so it’s great to know you have a good team behind you. The important takeaway is that if you suffer any vision problems or a change in your vision don’t waste time, go and see your optician as quickly as possible as time is of the essence.

Nish provided a full MOT on my eyes and suggested the best eye care for my particular needs. Looking forward to using my new pair of designer glasses!

Absolutely brilliant service. I really wish I'd got the optician's name-he was so quick and efficient. He saw me as an emergency case during Lockdown and I can't tell you how grateful I am, I could hardly see out of my old glasses! I just collected my varifocals after 10 days, my reading glasses should be ready in about a week. #SupportLocalBusiness

Provide a good friendly service

This was the first time I have visited this optician, the place was very pleasant and very welcoming. They dealt with my problem very efficiently. Very happy with the experience. Last visit for my treatment today 24/03/21 very pleased with all the treatment and service, the staff and Dr very nice and professional. Would highly recommend.

Lovely practice with superb professional Optician and Staff to support. I really love the personal touch of the practice eg they know who all the clients are and by name, other chains do not have that. And because they are independent, their treatment offerings are quick different too. You never feel rushed either. I would recommend to any one and wouldn’t go back to a chain again. I’ve been customer for over 3 years now
