Another well organised appointment by Orpington Eyecare with friendly and engaging staff saw the delivery and fitting of 2 out of 3 glasses recently ordered. The 3rd pair didn’t pass their quality control due to a chip on one of the lenses provided by the manufacturer - so it was sent back for replacement which I am due to receive in the next week or so. This is how customer service should be 🙂👍

I woke up yesterday morning with a vision problem that I suspected might be a detached retina. I called the Orpington Eye Centre and got an appointment same day. Mr Patel examined me and confirmed my worst fears. He immediately called the hospital and I was seen at Kings College first thing this morning. I’m booked in for surgery on Friday. I want to thank Mr Patel for his diagnosis and for seeing me and referring me so quickly. Your eyesight is so important, so it’s great to know you have a good team behind you. The important takeaway is that if you suffer any vision problems or a change in your vision don’t waste time, go and see your optician as quickly as possible as time is of the essence.

I suffer from dry eyes and blepharitis. After doing some research, I came across IPL ( Intense pulsed light) and after 2 sessions at a different clinic, I set up an appointment with Orpington Eyecare centre, where I had another 2 sessions. Mr Patel answered my many questions patiently and he offered advice on how to alleviate the symptoms of blepharitis and dry eyes. He also gave me a lot of advice on which eyedrops to use, which tablets to take and how to use a wand for dry eyes. I felt the treatment I received from Dr Patel, including the IPL sessions, was more thorough than at the first clinic and that he used better equipment to assess and treat me including radio frequency technology. The lady at the reception is also very sweet.

Nish is a great Optician! Very friendly and professional who took the time to deal with my eyesight. A big change from the usual high street Optician with a nice selection of glasses. Thanks for the thorough eye test and see you in 2 years!!

Hi. Very happy with the service I received here. The optician answered all of my questions with clear answers and gave me a clear description of the state of my vision. I am not quite ready for spectacles but when I do feel I need them I will definitely be returning here. Excellent

I have just changed to this optician from one of the chains. Very calm and thorough treatment. I felt confident. I could not transfer from my wheelchair to the seat but my eyes were tested while I remained in my chair so this was not a problem. Good selection of frames. I am happy to have changed. Parking is easier too.

Nish provided a full MOT on my eyes and suggested the best eye care for my particular needs. Looking forward to using my new pair of designer glasses!

I was there with an appointment, no waiting, the receptionist was very friendly and the optician was pleasant, quick to find the cause of my eye problem and referred me for eye surgery all in a few minutes.
